Team Tryouts are just around the corner – April 17-18, 2026
How do you get signed up to join us for SEASON 12?
We thank you for your interest in Odyssey Cheer Company’s competitive cheer program. Our mission is to train athletes with integrity and respect while building championship-caliber teams through unity and individual commitment. We strive to instill confidence, provide leadership opportunities, and create an environment where athletes can form lasting friendships and meaningful memories.
At Odyssey Cheer Company (OCC), we are dedicated to delivering high-quality coaching and skill development to support each athlete’s long-term success in cheerleading. Within our team program, we value every athlete—regardless of age or experience level—and are committed to fostering a genuine love for the sport through consistent growth and achievement.
Athletes trying out are encouraged to attend team workout sessions (March 31-April 21, 2026) before evaluations. Contact the front desk for registration and pricing information.
Beginning March 30, 2026 athletes will sign up for a private evaluation time to demonstrate jumps, tumbling and flying ability (if applicable). Evaluations are held April 17-18, 2026. Our team evaluations are as relaxed as possible, and each evaluation will conclude with a short interview to go over athlete goals for the upcoming season.
Try-out Attire: T-shirt or sports bra, spanks or shorts and lightweight tennis shoes or cheer shoes with hair pulled into a ponytail with a bow. Athletes are assigned tryout numbers during evaluation. Evaluations will be held April 17-18, 2026. If you cannot make it on this day, you can tryout by appointment.
Evaluation Procedures:
1) Schedule an evaluation time beginning March 30, 2026 with the front desk by calling 281-741-0531 OR request an evaluation time in your parent portal under the CAMPS/EVENTS TAB. Parent Portal Link: https://app.iclasspro.com/parentportal/odysseycheerco
2) Thoroughly read through the 2026-2027 Cheer Contract Packet and program offerings/payment information sheets. All-star cheerleading is a SELECT sport and requires a large time and financial commitment. Please make sure you understand what you are committed to.
3) Turn in the 2026-2027 All-Star Registration Form, Parent & Athlete Rules Form and the Credit Card Authorization Form found in this evaluation packet. If this paperwork is not turned in your athlete will not be able to tryout.
4) New athletes - turn in a photo and copy of a birth certificate. Returning athletes - turn in a current photo.
5) If you are not a current member, a $55 non-refundable registration fee per athlete will apply and will be charged to the card on file prior to tryouts.
6) Submit practice wear and practice bow payment on or before your evaluation time. $200 plus tax for competitive and prep teams & $100 plus tax for show team and novice. Price is subject to increase pending final design.
Odyssey Cheer Company will always do what is best for a team to grow and have success throughout the season. Athletes will be considered for teams based on age, level availability and level requirements. Please note that athlete maturity, dance ability and jumping skills are also taken into consideration during team evaluations. Skills MUST be consistent and demonstrate STRONG technique in order drive the future success of a team. If an athlete possesses exceptional strength in another area besides tumbling (ex: basing or flying), the athlete may be considered for a higher-level team. We are looking for well-rounded athletes with strong work ethic - simply having the necessary tumbling skills does not guarantee that a candidate will automatically make that level team.
If you have any questions about the cheer contract, the tryout process, team assignments (All-Star, Prep, Novice and Show team), or anything else, including the facility or our staff, please feel free to ask any owner or staff member of OCC for help or assistance.
Our office hours are 4pm to 8pm Monday through Thursday, and other times by appointment. You can reach us by phone 281-741-0531 or anytime at info@odysseycheer.com.
The Landry Family
My girls have thrived at Odyssey Cheer. They have learned so much from their coaches and teammates. They've improved in their skills but have also learned life lessons; such as teamwork, trust, leadership, confidence and most importantly RESPECT!
